In this workshop you will learn the advantage of using 3D Digital Content Creation tools like Autodesk® Maya®, Autodesk® 3ds Max®, Autodesk® ImageModeler™ and more to enhance your work in way you probably have never considered.  Autodesk products have very sophisticated animation tools that provide the ability to create stunning results and interesting effects that are much faster than other methods.  Autodesk products are compatible with many other tools such as Adobe Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop and Director. See how you can use Autodesk products along with the products you already use to take your work to the next dimension.

Instructors for this workshop

Marcel de Jong

Marcel de Jong is currently a Senior Application Engineer at Autodesk Media and Entertainment. He has previously worked as a digital FX consultant for clients such as: DreamQuest Images, DreamWorks, Digital Domain, Warner Digital, Walt Disney Feature Animation, Pixar, and Sony ImageWorks. Feature Film credits and production experience on the following; Inspector Gadget, Sphere, Mortal Kombat, Armageddon, and Batman Returns. Published in: Popular Mechanics, ID magazine, MayaSavvy 4.5, CGW magazine, and Innovation. Marcel was a winner of the 1999 IDSA Design Excellence Awards. B.S. University of Texas and Art Center College of Design. Co-founder Gnomon Inc. School of Visual Effects. Prior to working in 3D Marcel was as a NATO pilot for the Royal Dutch Air Force.

Louis Marcoux

Louis Marcoux is an application specialist for animation and visual effects at Autodesk Canada since 2003. He specializes in 3ds max and Combustion for the games, films, visual effects and visualization industries.

Mr. Marcoux has been a 3D technical artist and software developer since 1994. He has been involved in the broadcast graphics industry for 6 years before joining the 3ds max team in Montreal. He has helped bringing real-time 3D graphics to screen at ABC, NBC, CNN and Time Warner Cable Stations in America. He has also traveled the world to help innovative TV stations to move to real-time 3D graphics and virtual environments.

Mr. Marcoux has graduated from Concordia University in Film Production, from UQAM in Communication Studies and from Polytechnique in Computer Engineering.

In his rare free time, Mr. Marcoux loves to cook, read, visit museums and see movies on the big screen.
